Toggle Clamps
Toggle clamps lock a part in place with a single flip of the handle and release just as fast, which makes them the standard for jigs, sleds and fixtures. Horizontal clamps keep the handle low and out of the way, vertical clamps give more clearance above the work, and push-pull clamps drive a plunger forward.
Horizontal or vertical toggle clamp?
Choose horizontal when the clamp must stay low, for example on a crosscut sled. Choose vertical when you need room above the work.
How much holding force do I need?
For woodworking jigs, light and medium clamps are usually enough. Each listing shows its rated capacity.
What warranty and returns do I get?
Every tool ships free in the US with a 12-month warranty and 30-day returns.
Buying guide
How to hold work steady
Work that moves ruins cuts and costs fingers. Dogs, hold-downs and horizontal toggle clamps lock parts to the bench or jig so both hands stay on the tool.
Match dog diameter to your bench holes, size a toggle clamp to the force you need, and add track where you want adjustable stops.
Check hole size
Most benches use 19-20 mm or 3/4 in. dog holes.
Clamp low
Hold-downs close to the cut reduce chatter.
Add a stop
A planing stop keeps boards from sliding.
