Contour Gauges & Scribing Tools
Copy a molding profile, a pipe or an uneven wall onto your workpiece. A contour gauge takes the shape in one press, and a scribing tool traces a wall onto a cabinet side or countertop for a tight fit.
How wide a profile can it copy?
See each listing for the gauge width and depth.
Can I lock the shape?
Many gauges have a lock so the profile does not shift while you mark.
What warranty and returns do I get?
Every tool ships free in the US with a 12-month warranty and 30-day returns.
Buying guide
How to mark accurately
Accuracy starts at layout. A mark that's off by a pencil width grows into a gap at glue-up.
Engraved scales and pencil guide holes let you draw parallel lines and repeat measurements without a second tool.
Use a knife line
A marking knife or wheel gauge leaves a finer line than a pencil.
Reference one edge
Measure every part from the same reference face.
Check your square
Flip the square and draw two lines; they should overlap.
